Getting Around – Mongolia Style

Adding a splash of colour to this featureless stretch of the Gobi Desert and proving the point that sidecarts are cool, no matter where you are, this family heads home after a day in town. I particularly like the way they have stacked the kids in order of size. Everyone gets a view and a face full of wind.

Besides old motorbikes, old horses make for great transportation. Just don’t call them ‘ponies’. Mongolians don’t appreciate their fine steads be called a diminutive pony – no matter what the size of their horse is.
