This shot was taken on the West Coast road to Karame, heading towards the Kahurangi National Park. It was right on sunset so I did three exsposures using a tripod to capture the colours in the sky and in the puddles and used Photomatix to make a HDR (high dynamic range) exposure. The nikau palms are an iconic New Zealand tree so pretty happy to have them in the shot as well. That’s the great thing about travelling around in a motorhome – you can stop whenever you feel like it.
