Once Around The Block
Our family takes a year long, RV trip around the U S of A
We have a sweet RV, our life savings and a thirst for adventure. What could possibly go wrong? Well, apparently quite a lot. For starters, travelling with children isn’t all beer and skittles. Then there’s also the logistics of travelling in America as a non-American for a year and finally, once you have sorted the visas, insurances, registrations and local State taxes, you still have to face the hardest challenge of them all – securing a campsite in Yosemite National Park during summer.

Follow our travels using the links below. We have organised our posts by areas (plus a mini ‘Practical Tips” section) to make it easier but our general plan is to start in Houston in February and make our way west via Utah and Arizona. Once we reach California we explore the Coast and Mountains while travelling north to Oregon. The Summer we will spend here and in the northern states making our way east to New England states for fall. As it turns colder we will start heading south to arrive in Florida for winter.
