These springs in the South Island of New Zealand claim to be some of the world’s clearest fresh water. If you want to photograph them at their best you need an absolutely windless day without a ripple on the water and a polarising filter. It’s unbelievable what a big difference the filter made to this shot. If you are unsure when to use a polarising filter check out this video lesson that Debbie and I made.
Unfortunately there was a slight breeze the day we were there but you get an idea of how clear the water.
