The limestone outcrops around Tam-Coc (in Vietnam) are threaded by this deep green river and for a few dollars the locals will take you up the river in their boats. The weird thing is that they row the boats with their feet and they make it look easy, but it ain’t – I tried. Not ones to let a business opportunity escape them, your boat will be trailed by others selling souvenirs. This pic is of one such souvenir seller taking a break for the heat in the shade of a bamboo stand.
