This is probably the most photographed waterfall in New Zealand. Purakaunui Waterfall is in the Catlins on the east coast of New Zealand’s South Island. To get this classic wispy water effect, just put your camera on a tripod and slow the shutter speed right down. You have to shoot in fairly low light to be able to slow the shutter speed down and not over expose the shoot. This was taken in late afternoon.
